CEO

Mark joined Preferred Benefits in 1997 as a Group Benefits Specialist, responsible for the development of sales and marketing in the Central Ohio area for fully insured and self insured programs.
Previously, Mark was involved in sales and service as a large group representative for a major insurance provider.    Mark's professional background has always involved him in brokerage/consulting sales activities, working direct sales opportunities through managed care.
Mark is now the Chief Executive Officer at Preferred Benefits, responsible for all of the financial aspects of employee benefits including early budgeting requirements, evaluation of current trends, and recommendations for future budgeting.
Mark is a member of two major insurance company National Advisory Boards and several civic organizations.

 



Sue Conner

Director of Client Services/Operations
 

Sue began her career working for Prudential Insurance, and has worked in Employee Benefits for 29 years. She joined Kientz/A&A in 1983 where she served as the Group Department Manager, working with many of the Agency's largest accounts.  She joined InsuranceOhio (a division of The Ohio Company) in 1987 where she was Vice President in charge of the Employee Benefits division.
Her most recent position was with Willis of Ohio, where she was a Senior Vice President and provided employee benefits consulting services to clients.
Sue has served on numerous carrier advisory councils and is active in community organizations.

Office Manager

As our Office Manager, Mary is responsible for telephone support, coordination of schedules, and spreadsheeting benefit plans and rates.  She also assists with customer service issues, online enrollments through multiple insurance carriers, electronic submission of request for quotes, and maintenance of our website, pbsai.com .
She also writes our quarterly newsletter and has 25 years of office and customer service experience.

Internal Service Representative

With a wide insurance and customer service background, Jodi is adept at helping both employers and employees with claim or billing issues.  She also serves as support for our sales staff by producing online quotes, preparing spreadsheets, and prospecting for new business. 
For those who don't have group insurance and are seeking individual coverage, Jodi provides quotes from multi insurance carriers and assists with the application process until it's complete.

Group Benefits Manager

Linda has a 20 year background with two major insurance carriers and an extensive customer service background.  Her knowledge allows her to work closely with employers to establish education and communication to ensure complete employee understanding of PPO, HRA, and HSA benefits, options, and requirements.  She also communicates with large and small groups in order to resolve all claim, billing and service issues; assistance with legislative questions regarding HIPAA, COBRA and FMLA; and assisting with onsite enrollment and education with employees and employers.  She also markets large group benefit renewals with multiple insurance carriers tos receive the best benefit plan designs and rates. 
As Worksite Wellness has come to the forefront of the benefits industry, Linda has received training and education to assist employers with establishing their Wellness Programs and helps educate employers and employees with their particular needs and concerns.   Linda recently earned her Certified Wellness Program Coordinator designation through a National Wellness program.
She is also responsible for implementation and ongoing administration of existing plans, communicating and resolving claims and service issues with current clients, and assisting with one-on-one employee and employer Q & A's. 

 



Jeff Orlando

Group Benefits Specialist

Jeff came to Preferred Benefits in 2004 with an extensive sales and service background in the insurance industry.  His responsibilities include marketing group benefit renewals with 2-500 employees, meeting with prospective clients to review their current benefit plans and discussing available options to meet their employees' needs.
Jeff also markets renewals for his current clients, analyzing their current benefit plans and financial expectations to ensure they have the best options available.
Jeff is a member of CAGE and an active board member of the Upper Arlington Civic Association.

Seth came to Preferred Benefits after 10 years on the carrier side of the insurance industry, where he specialized in sales and customer service.  He is now responsible for marketing group benefits for current clients with 2-500 employees and also meeting with prospective clients.
He also assists his clients with ongoing service and claims issues, monthly or quarterly Q & A sessions with employers and employees, and marketing for comprehensive plans at renewal.
Seth is involved with his local Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee and is a member of CAGE.

 



Brian Lenzo

Group Benefits Specialist

Brian came to Preferred Benefits with 15 years of experience on the carrier side of the insurance industry, where he was responsible for both sales and customer service within the small and mid-size market. 
He is now responsible for marketing group benefits for current clients with 20-1,000 employees and also meeting with prospective clients.
He assists his clients with ongoing service and claims issues, monthly and/or quarterly Q & A sessions with employers and employees, and complete marketing for comprehensive plans at renewal.

Director of Account Management

Wendy joined Preferred Benefits as a Group Services Manager in 1997.  Prior to joining Preferred Benefits, she was employed with a major insurance carrier as an account manager responsible for local and national accounts, giving her extensive experience in customer service.
Currently, Wendy is responsible for communication with large and small groups in order to resolve all claim, billing and service issues; assistance with legislative questions regarding HIPAA, COBRA and FMLA; and assisting with onsite enrollment and education with employees and employers.  She also markets large group benefit renewals with multiple insurance carriers to ensure our clients receive the best benefit plan designs and rates.
Wendy has trained extensively to earn her Certified Wellness Program Coordinator designation and is experienced with helping our clients establish and coordinate their Worksite Wellness Programs.
Wendy is a member of  HRACO, SHRM and the National Wellness Institute and is pursuing her degree in Marketing at Franklin University.
